In 2021 I promised to put a hold on residential development until a new land use plan could be developed.
Just 2 weeks after being sworn in on Dec. 6th 2021, I put forth a motion stating the Town Boards intention to reject any new residential developments until an updated land use plan could be designed and adopted.

With support from fellow Commissioners, I helped spearhead the Growth Management Task Force (GMTF) to generate a new Land Use Plan. The GMTF was unique in that it was entirely comprised of Cornelius residents.
The Task Force met 14 times throughout 2022 to study and make recommendations regarding the Town’s future land use.
